Ask your AI assistant about your DonNe
Connect DonNe to Claude, ChatGPT, or the AI you already use — then ask, in plain language, about your leadership-hiring predictions, target companies, contacts, and pipeline. No exporting, no copy-paste, nothing to install.
The questions you’d ask an analyst — answered from your own DonNe
Once connected, your assistant can pull from DonNe as you talk. A few examples:
It’s three clicks, like connecting any account
The details differ slightly by assistant, but it’s always the same idea.
First, a 10-second check
Sign in to DonNe and open Settings → Connected Accounts. If you see a “Connect an AI assistant” card, you’re ready — the steps below take a minute. If you don’t see it yet, this is still rolling out to your plan — contact us and we’ll switch it on.
Copy your DonNe address
Copy your DonNe address — a short web link that tells your assistant where to find DonNe. It’s on the “Connect an AI assistant” card in Settings → Connected Accounts.
Paste it into your assistant
Add it as a custom / remote connector in Claude, ChatGPT, or your MCP client (steps below).
Approve the DonNe sign-in
A DonNe window opens — approve access, just like signing in with Google. If you belong to more than one workspace, you’ll pick which one; most people have just one, so there’s nothing to choose.
https://donneai.com/api/mcpAlways copy the exact address from Settings → Connected Accounts inside DonNe — that card is the source of truth.
Setup for each assistant
Claude
Works in Claude on the web (claude.ai) and the Claude desktop app.
- 1Open Claude, then go to Settings → Connectors (under “Customize”).
- 2Click the + button and choose Add custom connector.
- 3Paste your DonNe address (copy it from DonNe → Settings → Connected Accounts) and click Add.
- 4Click Connect. A DonNe window opens — approve access and pick the workspace to use.
- 5That’s it. DonNe’s tools now appear in Claude — just ask.
On a Claude Team or Enterprise plan, a workspace Owner adds the connector once in Organization settings → Connectors → Add → Custom → Web, and then each teammate clicks Connect.
ChatGPT
Requires a paid ChatGPT plan (Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, or Edu) — custom connectors aren’t on the free tier.
- 1Don’t worry about the name — “Developer mode” is just a switch ChatGPT hides in settings; you aren’t writing any code. In ChatGPT, open Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced settings and turn it on.
- 2Back in Apps & Connectors, create a new connector and paste your DonNe address (from Settings → Connected Accounts). Include the full address ending in
/api/mcp. - 3Approve the DonNe sign-in window and choose your workspace.
- 4Ask ChatGPT about your DonNe data.
On Business / Enterprise, an admin may need to allow custom connectors first. If the connector doesn’t appear right after connecting, remove it and add it again.
Cursor
For teammates who work inside the Cursor code editor.
- 1Open Cursor Settings (⌘/Ctrl + ,) and go to Tools & Integrations (older versions: Features → MCP).
- 2Choose Add new MCP server, select the remote / HTTP option, and paste your DonNe address.
- 3Approve the DonNe sign-in when prompted.
- 4DonNe’s tools are now available in Cursor.
Prefer a config file? Cursor also reads an mcp.json with a url entry pointing at your DonNe address.
Any other AI assistant
DonNe works with any assistant that supports a remote MCP server.
- 1Find where your assistant lets you add a remote or custom MCP server.
- 2Paste your DonNe address as the server address. If it asks for a connection type, choose HTTP (also called “Streamable HTTP”) — not “SSE,” “stdio,” or “command.”
- 3Approve the DonNe sign-in window (and pick your workspace if you have more than one).
If those words mean nothing to you, this section isn’t for you — use the Claude or ChatGPT steps above, or contact us. And if your assistant only supports local (command-line) MCP servers, it can’t connect to DonNe yet — DonNe is a hosted, remote server that you reach over the internet.
You stay in control, always
Connecting an assistant never widens what you can see or do in DonNe.
You sign in, like with Google
When you connect, a DonNe window opens and asks you to approve access — exactly like “Sign in with Google.” You’re always the one who says yes. If you belong to more than one DonNe workspace, you’ll also choose which one this connection uses (most people have just one, so there’s nothing to pick).
It stays inside the lines
The assistant can only see and do what you already can in DonNe. It never changes your billing, never spends credits, never reveals a contact’s private details, and never sees another firm’s data.
Disconnect any time
Every connection lives in DonNe under Settings → Connected Accounts. Disconnect one and the assistant loses access immediately — no waiting, no leftover keys.
Can I connect right now?
Connecting an AI assistant is part of DonNe’s assistant capability, which we’re rolling out gradually on qualifying plans. If you don’t see the “Connect an AI assistant” card in Settings → Connected Accounts, it isn’t enabled for your workspace yet.
Common questions
What is MCP, in plain English?+
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is a shared standard that lets your AI assistant talk to another product securely. Connecting DonNe over MCP means you can ask your assistant about your DonNe predictions, companies, contacts, and pipeline in plain language — no exporting, no copy-paste.
Do I need to be technical to set this up?+
No. You copy one web address from DonNe, paste it into your assistant, and approve a sign-in window — the same three clicks as connecting any account. There is nothing to install or code.
Where do I get my DonNe address?+
Sign in to DonNe and go to Settings → Connected Accounts. The “Connect an AI assistant” card shows your exact DonNe address with a copy button. That card is the source of truth for the address to paste.
Is my data safe? Can the assistant see other firms’ data?+
The assistant can only see and do what you already can inside DonNe, scoped to your own workspace. It never changes billing, never spends credits, never reveals a contact’s private details, and never sees another firm’s data. You approve access when you connect, and you can disconnect at any time from Settings → Connected Accounts.
Which AI assistants work with DonNe?+
Claude (on the web and desktop) and ChatGPT (on paid plans, via Developer mode) both support custom connectors. Cursor works for technical teammates. Any assistant that supports a remote MCP server can connect. Assistants that only support local, command-line MCP servers cannot connect yet.
What does it cost, and can I connect right now?+
Connecting an assistant is part of DonNe’s AI assistant capability, which we are rolling out gradually on qualifying plans. If you don’t see the “Connect an AI assistant” card in Settings → Connected Accounts, it isn’t enabled for your workspace yet — contact us and we’ll help.
